A 25-year habit of getting there early.
I taught myself programming from a book as a schoolboy in the mid-1980s — before it was taught in school. In 1992, as a teenager, I was building and selling custom PCs by hand, when personal computers were still a rarity.
Then, in 1999 — before most people in the country had heard the word e-commerce — I launched Ukraine's first online electronics store. Over the next decade it became one of the country's leading shops and helped shape what online retail in Ukraine even meant: the rules, the standards, the basic idea of buying online. Several of today's market leaders started by watching how it worked.
In 2017 I became CEO of Lenovo's online business in Ukraine, built essentially from the ground up — the store and portal, an in-house contact center, logistics, and a development team. I ran the full e-commerce cycle end to end.
Since 2022, when generative AI first arrived, I've gone deep — and, true to form, I got there early rather than chasing a trend. For me it's simply the next tool for the thing I've always done: making operations faster, leaner, and smarter.
